Zepto Launches Subscription-based AI Analytics Tool ‘Atom’ to Help Brands Scale | AIM

Indian food delivery app Zepto on Wednesday launched Zepto Atom, a data insights subscription service for consumer brands operating on its platform. Co-founder Aadit Palicha announced the move on LinkedIn.

The service expands on the existing Zepto Brand Portal by offering deeper, hyperlocal, and real-time insights to help brands optimise performance.

The Atom subscription functions as a premium top-up to the free Brand Portal, which currently provides brands with basic performance data. “The value of the Zepto Atom subscription is the next level of insights brands can derive from this tool, most of which are not available on any e-commerce platform in India today,” said Palicha.

One of the key features is a PIN-code-level map interface. “Brands can examine a live map of every neighbourhood and PIN code they have presence on Zepto and derive hyperlocal insights on their performance,” Palicha explained.

For example, a brand can see on Zepto Atom Maps that their sales are under-indexed in a particular area or neighbourhood, and double down on pricing, marketing, or distribution efforts in those geographies to unlock growth.

Another feature is minute-by-minute visibility into sales and engagement data. “Brands can see minute-by-minute sales, customer impressions, and conversion data and optimise advertising campaigns, pricing, and their product range,” Palicha said.

Zepto Atom also includes Zepto GPT, a natural language assistant trained on Zepto’s internal dataset. It can answer performance-related queries, offer strategic recommendations, and generate data reports. For instance, one can ask, “How can I grow my market share in Bengaluru for the protein bar category?” and “What are the key consumer preferences driving energy drink sales among Gen Z in Mumbai?”

Further, the tool gives access to behavioural metrics such as customer repeatability, retention, and share of voice on search and homepage placements.

Zepto will formally onboard partner brands later this week.

This isn’t the first time a food delivery platform has expanded into SaaS. Earlier this year, Zomato launched Nugget, an AI-native, no-code customer support platform designed to help businesses scale their support operations efficiently.

It provides AI agents, ranging from chatbots to co-pilots that handle complex queries, automate audits, perform image classification, and provide voice AI agents.

Developed over three years as an internal tool, Nugget handles over 15 million support interactions per month for Zomato, Blinkit, and Hyperpure. The platform, which is now open to businesses worldwide, boasts a 90% adoption rate among companies that have tested it.
