HCLTech Appoints Kiran Cherukuri as Global GCC Practice Leader | AIM


HCLTech appointed Kiran Cherukuri as its new global GCC practice leader on Monday, as the company strengthens its focus on global capability centres (GCCs) in India.

In this role, Kiran will lead the expansion of HCLTech’s GCC practice, helping clients maximise the company’s wide range of services, technologies, and corporate functions. So far, the company has partnered with over 200 GCCs across India.

“GCCs have evolved into centres of strategic digital innovation for global enterprises. HCLTech plans to double down on this fast-growing segment with a sharp focus on India,” Rahul Singh, chief operating officer of corporate functions at HCLTech, said.

Kiran mentioned that “GCCs are poised to deliver higher value through the transformation of technology and skills”.

Kiran, who has rejoined HCLTech, brings more than 30 years of experience from top tech firms and start-ups. He previously spent 14 years at HCLTech, where he played key roles in digital foundation services, engineering and R&D, industry solutions, and talent services.

He also helped set up global delivery centres and led business development, partnerships, and marketing initiatives. He holds a degree in electronics and communications engineering and a postgraduate diploma in business management.

Meanwhile, Wipro, the leading technology services and consulting firm, also announced appointing Sandeep Dhar as the global head of its GCC practice. 

Dhar brings over three decades of expertise in the GCC ecosystem and consulting, having played a pivotal role in building and scaling notable companies in the sector.
